Meralco promotes energy conservation

Amidst calls for energy conservation, Meralco and Abenson have joined forces to promote the wise use and purchase of electric appliances. To guide consumers on electricity usage, Meralco has installed the Meralco Appliance Calculator or MAC at Abenson Stores in Shangri-la Plaza Mall, Sta. Lucia East Mall, Harrison Plaza and QUAD, Makati. The MAC is a computer-aided device that computes the consumption amount of common household appliances like television, air conditioner, computer, refrigerator, etc. This will help guide consumers on how to utilize their household appliances. Use of the MAC Info Kiosks is absolutely free of charge. Shown in photo is the recent unveiling of the MAC at Abenson Shangri-la Plaza Mall. The MAC may also be accessed through the Meralco website. The ceremony was headed by (from left) Ms. Ruth Banares-David (Meralco Sr. Asst. VP and Customer Service Office Head), Mr. Mike Lopez (Meralco Asst. Vice President and Marketing Head) and Mr. Winston Lim (Abenson Business Development Manager).
