REY BANARES TO GO TO TAIWAN

Rey Banares, eldest son of Joventino and Apolonia Banares will be leaving for Taiwan anytime soon. This was disclosed by Joventino. Rey said he was leaving to seek employment abroad because of the economic crisis the country is experiencing.
It will be remembered that Rey previously worked in Saudi Arabia before deciding to come home a few years back.

HEARING VS JOSE BANARES SET FOR JUNE 7

The Special Civil Action of the Heirs of Tomas Banares vs Jose Banares has been scheduled for June 7, 1999 at the Tabaco Regional Trial Court in Albay. The heirs of Tomas are asking the court thru this Special Civil Action that Jose relinquish management of the controversial Dreamland Beach Resort. As part of his defense, Jose will call on as witness Virginia Banares vda de Dado, much to the latter's irritation.

MAYON VOLCANO MAY ERUPT ANYTIME – PHIVOLCS

Majestic Mayon Volcano, known all over the world for its near-perfect cone, might erupt anytime soon. This was disclosed by Philvolcs director Reynaldo Punongbayan in an interview with local radio station DZGB of Albay. Mayon Volcano experienced tremors of volcanic origin the past few weeks and have also been experiencing crater glows, which lead geologists to deduce that an eruption might happen soon. Residents living within the danger zone have already been asked to evacuate their residences as a precautionary measure.

Norma Banares-Pimentel Retires from Fibertex

Norma Banares-Pimentel, a long time employee of Fibertex retired May 27 1999. Her last position was head of the Human Resources Department. Norma opted for early retirement, saying that now she can do things she was not able to do while she was working. In fact, right after retiring, Norma will go to Bacacay to attend the hearing of the Civil Action vs. Jose Banares along with her siblings.

Clanster Molested!

Bacacay, Albay -- Residents of this peaceful fishing village are crying foul over the recent incident of molestation in the village's poblacion. The victim, Bem-Bem, as reportedly waiting for her uncle Allan when she was approached by a man who told her that he would help her look for Allan in the plaza. The man then took the child to a vacant lot somewhere near the plaza and there abused the girl.
The girl returned with blood stains in her underwear, prompting the mother to have her examined.
Police operatives are now looking for the suspect, who they believed have already skipped town. The child, however, remains that she can identify the man if she sees him again.
