REMAINS OF EDITA BANARES CREMATED

Family and firends of the late Edita Banares gatehred at the Funderaria Nacional on March 19, 2006 to pay their last respects. Relatives from Aringay La Union and Bacacay, Albay gatehred at the funeral parlor at 7:30 am and then proceeded to the Heritage Park Crematorium around 8:30 am. The remains were laid in state for about half an hour before she was taken to the creatorium. Rodel Banares, the youngest child of Edita went to the viewing room for a final look at her mother before giving the go signal for the cremation.

EDITA HIDALGO CACANINDIN BANARES (1932-2006)

At 5:00 o'clock this afternoon, my mother EDITHA HIDALGO CACANINDIN BANARES passed away. My mother had a stroke last Friday and was confined for 4 days at the Makati Medical center Acute Stroke Unit before being moved to a private room so that her children and relatives can spend time with her. Her pulse rate deteriorated around 4:30 pm today and doctors tried to revive her to no avail. Her remains will be laid in state at the Nacional Funeral Homes along Araneta Avenue, Quezon City. Cremation will follow at the Heritage Park in For Bonifacio near Libingan ng mga Bayani on Sunday, MArch 19, 2006 at 9:00 am.

EDITH BANARES HIT BY MASSIVE STROKE

Edith Banares, widow of the late Onesimo S. Banares was hit by a massive stroke FRiday which left her in critical condition. She is currently under observationat the Acute Stroke Unit of the Makati Medical Center but will be tranfered to a private room later today. Relatives and friends who wish to visit her should do so beginning today. Her condition is unstable and may worsen at any time. Your assistancve, financial or otherwise is welcome. MARCH 2 MARKS 2ND DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF ONESIMO BANARES

March 2 marked the 2nd death anniversary of Onesimo Salazar Banares. The family of the late Onesimo Banares marked the occassion with a mass at the Tagaytay Highlands. The family also marked the birthday of Onesimo (Feb. 16), Onesimo and Edith's 50th wedding anniversary (Feb. 29) and Karla Alexis Banares' birthday (March 1).

VINCENT PIMENTEL FLIES TO PALAWAN TODAY, MARCH 8, 2006

Vincent Pimentel, son of Norma Banares and Ruben Pimentel flies today to Palawan to start work as safety officer of an off-shore oil rig. Vincent arrived at the private airstrip of Inter-Island Voyager where he will board a light plane and somewehre in Palawan, where he will then board a helicopter that will ferry him and others to the off shore oil rig.
